The Morgan Hill Downtown Association and the Board of Directors rely on the participation of volunteers. These volunteers help keep the MHDA running smoothly. Five separate, yet equally important committees have been formed each having their own area of focus. The five committees are:
- Membership Relations: Creating partnerships with local businesses, residents, organizations and City officials to build consensus among the downtown stakeholders to work toward and raise resources for the same goals.
- Events & Marketing: Marketing the downtown as a vibrant place for shopping, dining, cultural arts and events.
- Design: Creating a visually attractive downtown.
- Economic Improvement: Strengthening existing businesses and recruiting new businesses.
- Merchants: Creating and implementing marketing concepts that help downtown businesses succeed.
- Residents: Using a Block Captain methodology to promote strong, safe and vibrant neighborhoods within the downtown and acting as a communication point for MHDA with the residents of downtown.
